The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed about the high variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This SRD is certainly a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely more info functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The service position established for intervention encounters a here significant inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to permit the servicing of all customers and raise entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
